Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- One day in June Juche 89 (2000), General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited the Nyongbyon Silk Mill.
The temperature was over 30 degrees centigrade that day.
Under the sweltering sun he looked round the monument to the on-the-spot instructions of President Kim Il Sung and the monument to his field guidance in the compound of the mill, being briefed on its history. He then went round various workshops to learn about how production was going on.
He highly appreciated the workers and technicians of the mill who had produced various kinds of quality silk fabrics to greatly contribute to solving the clothing issue.
