Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- A meeting between heroes and women's union members took place here on Monday on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the victorious Fatherland Liberation War.

DPRK Hero Kim Sung Un, a lecturer of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, recalled at the meeting that President Kim Il Sung initiated the movement of aircraft-hunting teams and wisely led it to frustrate the enemies' numerical and technical superiority.

Labor Hero Jon Ku Gang, a lecturer of the museum, referred to the fact that army surgeons had displayed the matchless self-sacrificing spirit and devotion during the hard-fought war.

While hearing their talk, members of the women's union cherished once again the greatness of Kim Il Sung, the prominent strategist and ever-victorious iron-willed commander, and the merits of the brave men of the People's Army who devoted their all to the sacred war of justice for defending the freedom and independence of the country and the achievements of the revolution.

They stressed that the exploits performed by the President for the victory in the war serve as the banner encouraging the army and people of the DPRK to always emerge victorious in the showdown with the U.S. and the noble spirit of the former generations who unhesitatingly dedicated their youth and lives to the struggle for the party and the leader and the country has been carried forward steadfastly.
