New Saltern Created in Kaesong

Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- A new saltern has appeared in Kaesong City.
The city stepped up the construction of a water bag, a pumping station, a reservoir and an evaporating pond covering thousands of square meters and a crystallization pond covering several hectares in a short span of time while removing at least 16,700 cubic meters of earth.
Advanced production methods were introduced to the saltern which is leveled and rolled well. The saltern is also equipped with facilities capable of ensuring salinity even on rainy days.
