North Korean Media reported Kim Jong-il’s public activities for four times from May 31 June 6 in 2010.
North Korean movements regarding local elections on June 2
North Korea had instigated South Koreans before the local elections to “judge the Korean government and its ruling party.” After the result of the elections came out, the North has insisted that the crushing defeat of the GNP was inevitable result.
North Korean movements regarding the sinking of the Cheonan
North Korea has criticized that the international joint investigation team was unfairly organized. It also repeatedly demands that the South accept its “NDC inspection group.” Meanwhile, North Korea urged that referring to this case to the UN Security Council is a serious provocation to the North.
North Korea, criticizing the pressure of the U.S.
North Korea insisted in a commentary of the Rodong Shinmun (June 3) that the U.S.’ logic putting pressure on the North to give up its nuclear program and to return to the NPT is preposterous and sheer robbery.
