North Korean Media reported Kim Jong-il’s public activities for one time from May 10 to May 16 in 2010.Inter-Korean Affairs
In regard with the spreading of anti-North leaflets, North Korea threatens to take practical measures.
The head of the Inter-Korean general-level military talks sent a message to the South and threatened to take practical measures which will be more than just blocking South Koreans’ safe passage across the Demilitarized Zone, while criticizing the distribution of anti-North leaflets by South Korean activists. (Rodong Shinmun, Korean Central Television on May 12 to May 16)
Instigation and propaganda to intensify criticism on the South government
Pyongyang is instigating an anti-government struggle, so called “judgment on the South government” at the June 2 local elections. It has also continued criticisms on the Korean government causing various political issues. (Korean Central News Agency on Mar. 29)

The North reported that it succeeded in creating a nuclear fusion reaction with its own technology. (Korean Central News Agency on May 12)
NK, Insisting the legitimacy of being a nuclear state
North Korea insisted its legitimacy to withdraw from the NPT and to be a nuclear state in the report of Korean Central News Agency on May 14. In addition, in a press conference on May 15, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry refuted the Israeli Foreign minister’s argument that the North is spreading weapons of mass destruction(WMDs.)
