Participants in Art Festival Give Congratulatory Performances

Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- Participants in the Second April Spring People's Art Festival conducted agitation for increased production and gave congratulatory performances at factories in Pyongyang on Saturday.

The itinerant art squads of the Taean Heavy Machine Complex, Yomju and Hwangju counties, the Kim Chaek Taehung Fishery Enterprise and the Pongchon Coal Mine conducted agitation for increased production at the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Silk Mill, the Pyongyang Textile Mill, the Pyongyang Textile Machine Factory, the Pyongyang 326 Electric Wire Factory and the Pyongyang Flour Processing Factory.

They put on the stage mixed singing "My Country Is the Eternal Country of the Leader", male chorus "General on a Galloping White Horse", poem and chorus "A Thriving Nation Is Seen", instrumental music and song "Push Back the Frontiers of Latest Science and Technology" and other colorful numbers, encouraging the workers who are glorifying the undying leadership feats of the great persons of Mt. Paektu by bringing about an unprecedented boost in their production.

The artistes of the Phibada Opera Troupe, the State Folk Art Troupe, the Cinematic and Radio Musical Company and the art troupes of South Phyongan, North Hwanghae, Jagang, South Hwanghae, and North and South Hamgyong provinces and Nampho City gave congratulatory performances at the Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory, the Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory and the Songyo Knitting Mill for the innovators who greeted the Day of the Sun with great labor achievements.

Acrobats of the Pyongyang Circus staged numbers requiring high skill and humorous ones at the Ryuwon Footwear Factory, instilling the revolutionary emotion and optimism into its workers bringing about innovations in production.
