Seminar on Message of Kim Jong Il Held

Pyongyang, April 9 (KCNA) -- A seminar of media persons on "Journalists and Other Media Persons Are Buglers Sounding Advance in Dynamic Drive for Building a Great Prosperous and Powerful Nation," message of General Secretary Kim Jong Il to the participants of the national meeting of journalists and other media persons, was held at the Central Youth Hall Thursday.

It was attended by officials, journalists and editors in the field of media here.

The speakers said that the historic message Kim Jong Il sent to the participants of the national meeting on Feb. 21, Juche 99 (2010) serves as an inspiring banner helping the Juche-based media increase its might in the efforts to build a thriving nation.

They referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il in the message comprehensively and scientifically clarified the tasks facing the field of media of the Workers' Party of Korea at present and the ways to implement them.

They explained that it is the primary and just task proceeding from the nature and basic mission of the media of the WPK and the requirements of the developing revolution to conduct a media offensive to demonstrate the solidity of the single-minded unity with the headquarters of the revolution as the core and the invincible might of socialism.

They stressed that for all the journalists and other media persons to strictly adhere to the Juche stand and the principles of popular character in media activities provides a sure guarantee for turning the above-said media into a powerful ideological weapon in the dynamic drive for building a thriving nation.
