Story of Kim Il Sung

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- In July Juche 69 (1980) President Kim Il Sung provided field guidance to several industrial establishments. One day he gave officials concerned detailed instructions about the construction of a movilon factory and summoned a consultative meeting of officials in the field of industry in South Hamgyong Province.

At the meeting he expressed his satisfaction over the success made in a scientific research into movilon which would be conducive to solving quilt and clothing problems at a time when the people were not being fully supplied with quality quilts.

He then looked back upon a winter night in the early period of his revolutionary activities when he spent in a coat only without a quilt or sheet and even a pillow in a poor house on the way to Mingyuegou.

He said that having a bad sleep in the cold that night, he made a firm determination to provide the people with downy quilts after the liberation of the country.

He continued to say that the movilon factory should be built as soon as possible to product cotton for quilts and various kinds of quality cloth with movilon for the people.
