Film "Great Devotion" Screened

Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- Documentary film "Great Devotion (Year of Great Changes, 2009)" was screened at the People's Palace of Culture on Wednesday on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the election of General Secretary Kim Jong Il as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.

The documentary deals with the immortal exploits Kim Jong Il performed by glorifying last year as a year of dramatic changes to be specially recorded in the history of the country, the year which witnessed the advent of a brilliant era when all the ideals of the people are being translated into realities, after unrolling a grand blueprint for opening the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012, the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung.

The film also deals with historical facts that after kindling the torch of a new revolutionary surge in Kangson, the birthplace of the Chollima movement, Kim Jong Il dynamically encouraged the whole party and army and all the people to victoriously conclude the historic 150-day campaign and the 100-day campaign by giving tireless field guidance to hundreds of units across the country.

It was appreciated by senior party and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of ministries and national institutions and working people in the city.
