Imperialists' Rhetoric about "Protection of Human Rights" Flayed

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- The imperialists and their mouthpieces are talking about the theory of "human rights without border" and "priority to human rights", but it is nothing but sophism intended to use the human rights issue as pretexts for aggression and plunder, interference and pressure upon other countries and nations, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a signed article.

The imperialists' ballad of "protection of human rights" is a reversed theory of man-killing and a call for aggression, war and intervention, the article notes, and goes on:

The imperialists are the primary enemies of human rights as they interfere in the internal affairs of other countries under the signboard of "protection of human rights" while violating the sovereignty of independent countries.

There can never be the only "standard of human rights" suited to all the countries.

However, the imperialists raised their "standard of human rights" as "criterion" and are forcing other countries to approve it.

Their mouthed "protection of human rights" is the pronoun of aggression and intervention.

The imperialists are working hard to tarnish the image of progressive and socialist countries and isolate them internationally, taking issue with them over the "human rights issue".

They have encroached upon the sovereignty of legitimate independent states and mercilessly violated the national dignity and human rights. Nevertheless, they are describing their crimes as actions for "providing freedom and democracy". This only brings their brigandish nature and shamelessness into bolder relief.
