[Inside North Korea]
o According to a report on December 9, Kim Jong-il inspected the Ganggye Ranch and Ganggye Tractor Factory in Jagang Province. North Korea also reported on the same date that nine North Koreans tested positive for the H1N1 virus.
[Outside North Korea]
o On December 7, North Korea sent a condolatory message to Russia regarding a recent explosion in a city near the Ural Mountains. North Korea reported the arrival in Pyongyang of Stephen Bosworth, US special representative for North Korea policy, on December 8, and the results of mutual consultation on December 11.
