o Following his inspection of the headquarters of the Ministry of People’s Security (reported on November 22), Kim Jong-il met Chinese Defense Minister Liang Guanglie on November 25.
[Outside North Korea]
o North Korea propagandized on November 23 that the rescue of its distressed vessel named Jisung V with Chinese assistance epitomized the goodwill and friendship between China and North Korea.
[Inter-Korean Issues]
o On November 25, North Korea underscored a ‘struggle to implement of the June 15 and October 4 Declarations and solidarity of pro-Pyongyang leftist elements’ in a joint resolution of the Pan Korean Alliance for Reunification, and denounced the South Korean government for suspending Mt. Geumgang tourism in a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Asia-Pacific Peace Committee.
