o Kim Jong-il visited Military Unit 1224 (KCNA report on November 8). North Korea urged promotion of the results of the 100-Day Battle on the occasion of the fiftieth day of the Battle (November 11).
[Outside North Korea]
o In Chosun Shinbo, North Korea argued that it was 'pushing for a light water reactor construction plan' (November 13).
[Inter-Korean Issues]
O In a Supreme Command report (November 10), North Korea urged implementation of measures to prevent recurrence of an armed clash after the exchange of gunfire off the west coast. The country threatened to take ruthless military action in a telephone message issued in the name of the head of its delegation to the general-level talks (November 13).
