[ Inside North Korea ]
o North Korea reported, "Kim Jong-il performed on-site guidance on opera creation by Pyongyang Music College (June 7, KCNA). In the Rodong Sinmun, the country urged its people to “uphold the banner of an anti-imperialist struggle in the face of pressure from international organizations including the UN” (June 9) and carried a political opinion titled ‘The Time of Victory Has Come’ on the occasion of the 50th day of the '150-day strife' (June 10).
[ Outside North Korea ]
o North Korea called its alleged production of counterfeit money "hackneyed schemes of South Korea and the US against the republic" (June 12). In connection with the UN Security Council’s adoption of a resolution on sanctions against North Korea, the country threatened to commence plutonium weaponization and uranium enrichment as well as military actions (June 13).
[Inter-Korean Issues]
o In a report of the Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland titled "Finding Truth in Roh Moo-hyun’s Death", North Korea defined the incident as a 'political murder' and instigated protests to overthrow the South Korean government (June 9).
