[Inside North Korea]
o On April 5, North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported, "Gwangmyungsung II, an artificial satellite, was successfully launched into orbit by an Eunha II carrier rocket."
[Outside North Korea]
o On March 30, KCNA said, citing a remark by a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, "Another anti-North Korean resolution, which is full of falsehood and fabrication, was adopted in the 10th session of the UN Human Rights Council, just as in the preceding year."
o On April 1, KCNA reported, "Aerial surveillance by American imperialists is a violent infringement upon our republic’s autonomy and a dangerous military provocation. American imperialists must keep it in mind that surveillance by strategic reconnaissance aircraft is within our mark."
o On April 2, KCNA said, "Those who attempt to intercept the satellite will be severely reprimanded."
[Inter-Korean Issues]
o On March 30, KCNA reported, citing a statement by North Korea’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, “South Korea’s participation in the PSI (Proliferation Security Initiative) constitutes a declaration of war, and we will resolutely respond to it.”
