o On March 20, North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) briefly reported, “The first meeting of the 12th-term Supreme People’s Assembly will be held in Pyongyang on April 9 in accordance with the March 16 decision by the SPA Presidium to convene the SPA.”

[Outside North Korea]

o On March 17 – 21, North Korea’s Cabinet Prime Minister Kim Young-il made an official goodwill visit to China at the invitation of Wen Jiabao, China’s premier of the State Council.

o On March 21, KCNA briefly reported, “Two Americans who illegally entered North Korea from China on March 17 remain in the custody of North Korea, and investigations of them by the authorities concerned are underway.”
