Chinese Defense Minister Enjoys Art Performance

Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- Col. General Liang Guanglie, minister of National Defense who doubles as a state councilor of the People's Republic of China, on a visit to the DPRK, enjoyed a performance given by the State Merited Chorus at the Pulgunbyol Theatre on Monday.
Present to enjoy the performance on invitation were Liang Guanglie and his party, the ambassador, the military, naval and air attache and staff members of the Chinese embassy here, Chinese guests and students staying in the DPRK.
Appreciating it with the guests were Vice Marshal of the Korean People's Army Kim Yong Chun, vice-chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and minister of the People's Armed Forces, Pak Jae Gyong, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, and servicepersons of the KPA.
In such numbers as "The Leader Will Always Be with Us", "The Sound of a Horse's Hooves in Mt. Paektu" and "Song of the Korean People's Army" the chorus well represented the Korean army and people's profound reverence for President Kim Il Sung and their strong will to remain faithful to the Songun leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, the illustrious commander.
Put on the stage of the performance were also such Chinese songs as "There Is No New China without the Communist Party" and "Let's Sing of My Motherland".
