- Kim Jong-Il’s public activities during the first week of November - During the first week of November, North Korean media have reported Kim Jong-Il’s public activity three times.
- Emphasis on leading role during 100-day struggle – The North has reported that leading role of Worker’s Party members is all the more important during 100-day struggle. It is reported on Nov 3 by Rodong Sinmun.
Foreign Affairs
- Announcement of reprocessing of spent-fuel rods – The North has announced that it had successfully reprocessed around 8,000 spent-fuel rods by end of August. It is reported by Korean Central News Agency on Nov 3.
- Spokesperson to Foreign Affairs Ministry calls for US-North bilateral meeting – Through press conference from Foreign Affair’s Ministry’s spokesperson on Nov 2 and commentary of Chosun Shinbo on Nov 6, the North has urged that hostile relations between the U.S. and North should be changed and the U.S. should be engaged in bilateral meeting with the North.
