- Kim Jong-Il’s public activities during the last week of October- During the last week of October, North Korean media have reported Kim Jong-Il’s public activity four times.
- Holding a full cabinet meeting – North Korea has held a full cabinet meeting to discuss ‘150-day struggle’ and performance of the third quarter people’s economy. The meeting has also discussed action plans for 100-day struggle and people’s economy performance. Also, implementation of budget for third-quarter economy has been addressed. It is reported by Korean Central News Agency on Oct 27.
- Recommitment for US-North, inter-Korean relations – Chosun Shinbo, a pro-North Korean resident’s league in Japan , has reported that ‘By upgrading inter-Korean relations, it should be a drive for changing confrontational structure on the Korean peninsula. The shinbo has also urged that the South should take a corresponding step in response to North’s actions for reconciliation and unity between the two Koreas . It is reported on Oct 29.
