Internal Affairs
- The 15 th anniversary of Kim Il-Sung’s death (July 8, 1994) – The North held a ceremony to commemorate the 15 th anniversary of Kim Il-Sung’s death at the Pyongyang gymnasium on July 8.
- Improvement of electricity distribution system – Korean Central News Agency has reported on July 6 that construction has been finished to mordernize electricity provision system in South Hwanghae Province . The Agency also reported current status of wind power usage and electricity consumption in DPRK.
- Commemoration of Kim Hyung-Jik’s birth (July 10) – Central Broadcasting Station reported that briefing was held to commemorate the 115 th anniversary of Kim Hyung-Jik’s birth.
- Name change of Pyongyang silk mill –Committee for Supreme People’s Assembly announced ordinance No.150 on July 8. The ordinance said that name of Pyongyang silk mill has changed into Pyongyang Kim Jung-Sook’s silk mill. It is reported on July 9 by Central Broadcasting Station.
Inter-Korean Affairs
- The North’s denouncement on the South – Rodong Sinmun reported from July 6 to 9 that Committee for Peaceful Unification of the Fatherland had continuously denounced the South Korean government for many reasons including South’s Military Reform Plan on July 9.
- Committee for Special Zone Development’s spokesperson statement – The Committee issued a spokesperson’s statement, which said that the South’s unfaithful attitude had almost resulted an inter-Korean meeting to fall into a crisis. It is reported by Korean Central News Agency on July 9.
Foreign Affairs
- DPRK emphasized anti-terrorism in anti-terrorism special committee – Korean Central News Agency reported on July 6 that DPRK ’s position was against all types of terrorism activities and their related support. DPRK announced the position at Counter-Terrorism Committee held from June 29 to July 2.
