Taipei, July 4 (CNA) Taiwan's government expressed concern and condemned any action that undermined regional peace Saturday after North Korea launched two Scud missiles off its eastern coast earlier in the day.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Henry Chen said any move that jeopardizes regional peace should be restrained, and he stressed that regional disputes should be resolved in a peaceful manner.
According to South Korean government sources, North Korea fired the missiles from a military base near Wonsan in Kangwon province at around 8 a.m. The missiles traveled some 500 kilometers, the sources said.
