Internal Affairs
- Kim Jong-Il’s public appearance during the first week of July - North Korean media reported Kim Jong-Il’s public appearance for twice during June 29 to July 5.
- TV ads for Taedonggang Beer - Central Broadcasting Station has broadcasted advertisement of Taedonggang Beer under the title of ‘ Pyongyang ’s Pride, Taedonggang Beer’.
- Development of white rice made of potato - Korean Central News Agency reported on June 29 that DPRK succeeded in developing processing technology of white rice made of potato, so works to install product line are in full swing.
Inter-Korean Affairs
- The 3 rd working-level meeting of GIC – Pyongyang Broadcasting Services reported on July 2 that the South and the North had a meeting to revise contract terms of Gaeseong Industrial Complex (GIC).
Foreign Affairs
- DPRK claimed US’ attempt to wage a war - DPRK strongly claimed that the US was attempting to wage a war against North Korea citing US army’s recent development surrounding the Korean peninsular.
- DPRK’s criticism of Japan for imposing sanctions – North Korean media, including Rodong Sinmun criticized Japan for efforts to impose sanctions on the North such as Japan’s imperialism since UNSCR 1874 had been adopted.
