All Koreans Called upon to Struggle for National Sovereignty
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)
Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- National sovereignty is a fundamental guarantee for the existence and development of each nation.
Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a by-lined article.
If a nation is deprived of its sovereignty, it will have no vitality though it exists and will not escape miserable slavery.
This is proved by the realities in different countries in which people's freedom and rights are being violated by the U.S. imperialists, the article notes, and goes on:
Foreign aggressor forces occupied south Korea by force of arms, artificially dividing the Korean Peninsula into two parts and infringing upon the sovereignty of the Korean nation.
The U.S. imperialist aggression forces' presence in south Korea is seriously obstructing the independent and democratic development of society in south Korea while trampling down upon the national dignity and threatening people's right to existence.
Now that the foreign aggression forces are becoming evermore undisguised in their moves to infringe upon the national sovereignty the basic way of maintaining the existence of the Korean nation and developing it is to intensify the nationwide struggle for putting an end to the U.S. domination over south Korea and its interference in its affairs and achieving national reunification.
The present June 15 era of reunification requires all Koreans who love the country and nation to escalate the struggle to drive the foreign forces out of south Korea.
The idea of "By our nation itself" serves as a banner of struggle for the Korean people in the struggle to establish sovereignty and a powerful ideological weapon for building a reunified powerful nation.
All Koreans in the north and south and overseas should wage a more dynamic struggle to establish sovereignty throughout Korea under the uplifted banner of national independence, bearing in mind that the nation will have a rosy future only when it has established its sovereignty, concludes the article.
