Kim Jong Il Inspects Sub-unit of KPA Navy Unit

   Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspected a sub-unit of KPA Navy Unit 155 honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led Seventh Regiment.
    After receiving a salute, he went round the warship associated with revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung.
    The President personally went aboard the historic warship on May 24, 1970 and gave precious instructions on bolstering up the naval forces.
    Recalling with deep emotion the unforgettable historical day, Kim Jong Il praised the unit for preserving and managing well the warship associated with the leadership exploits of the President. He added that the undying revolutionary exploits performed by the President in the building of the Juche-oriented navy would shine long in the history of the country.
    He dropped in at the operation commanding room to learn about the unit's performance of guard duty and the training there.
    Expressing satisfaction over the fact that seamen of the unit are performing combat duty with high vigilance, sharply watching every move of the enemies, and all the commanding officers have acquired a high skill of operating the warship and commanding ability, he set forth the tasks to be fulfilled by the unit to boost the combat capability in every way.
    Making the rounds of entertainment and educational and supply service facilities of the unit, he took deep care of the living of the seamen.
    He was satisfied to learn that the commanding officers of the unit have provided the seamen with good and convenient conditions for their living and highly appreciated the efforts made by them.
    He met and had a warm talk with Choe Jong Su, captain of a boat of the sub-unit.
    He had a photo session with the servicepersons of the sub-unit.
    He was accompanied by KPA Generals Hyon Chol Hae and Ri Myong Su.
