Internal Affairs
Kim Joing Il gave field guidance to recently refurbished cultural and supply facilities in Pyongyang , reported KCNA on June 6.
Inter-Korean Affairs
On the occasion of the 100 th day anniversary of the Lee Myung-bak administration, the North Korean Research Institute on National Unification released a white paper, in which it criticized the overall policy of the new South Korean administration, reported KCNA on June 1.
On June 7, KCNA reported on the conversation with the spokespersons for the central committees of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and the General Federation of North Korean Trade Unions, through which the news agency expressed its support for the candlelight rallies by the South Korean public and encouraged anti-government protests in Seoul .
On the same day, KCNA reported that the secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland denounced the mutual logistics support agreement between South Korea and the United States reached on June 8, 1988 . On the occasion of the 20 th anniversary of the agreement, the secretariat also insisted that various other agreements reached between Seoul and Washington should be nullified.
Foreign Affairs
On June 7, Chosun Sinbo reported the DPRK and Japan would have working-level talks in Beijing from June 11 to 12 to discuss issues of mutual concerns.
