Heightened Vigilance against Imperialists' Rhetoric about "Peace" Called for

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- The imperialists are crying out for "peace" louder than ever before. The world progressive people should heighten vigilance against the imperialists' rhetoric about "peace."
Rodong Sinmun Saturday stresses this in a signed article.
Noting that the imperialists have worked hard to realize their ambition for domination under the veil of "peace" while craftily exploiting the global trend of the times toward peace, the article says:
Their rhetoric about "peace" is a crafty trick to disarm other countries and nations ideologically and morally.
Now the anti-imperialist and independent forces are absolutely dominant in the international arena. This has made it impossible for the imperialists to openly resort to force only.
Therefore, they seek to cover their true nature for aggression, through camouflaged peace trick, and benumb people's spirit. It is the imperialists' trite trick for aggression to force other countries to ideologically and morally disarm themselves.
There are various deceptive methods employed by them to advocate "peace."
They would interfere in other countries' affairs, talking about "settlement" and "mediation" when disputes between political forces and ethnic strife occur there.
They would also craftily work to legitimize their moves for aggression under the veil of "peace" by taking advantage of their superior position in war of words.
If one lends an ear to their rhetoric about "peace" or is taken in by it, it will entail irrevocably serious consequences.
It is important to bolster military force for self-defence now that the imperialists have become all the more pronounced in the moves for aggression and war under the deceptive slogan of "peace."
The imperialists dare not provoke a country with powerful defence capacity.
