Joint Actions for Defending Global Peace and Security Called for

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- In order to defend peace it is necessary for all countries and nations to maintain independence, stand up against the policy of strength and intensify the international joint actions to avert aggression and war.
Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a signed article.
    It goes on:
The imperialist forces are the main obstacle lying in the way of the struggle of the progressive countries and peoples to achieve peace and national prosperity in the new century.
Defending peace is a slogan of struggle to be always held aloft by the progressive countries that love justice and peace.
The actions to champion peace represent the most powerful means to contain the war forces.
In order to defend peace from war the world peace-loving forces should go united to deal heavy blows at the imperialist aggressor forces.
All progressive countries of the world should never allow the imperialists to unleash even a slight military provocation.
Military force for self-defence is the most powerful means for averting a war. The struggle of the people to defend peace can prove effective only when backed by powerful military capability for self-defence.
The anti-war struggle for peace does not allow anyone to have even the slightest illusion about the imperialists. What is important in particular is that people should not be taken in by the appeasement tactics of the imperialists.
The Korean Peninsula has now become the main front of the struggle for peace.
The peninsula is the region where the situation remains tensest in the world and the biggest hot spot where a large-scale all-out war may break out any moment due to the reckless war moves of the U.S.
The struggle to prevent a war on the peninsula is a very crucial issue of saving mankind from the danger of a nuclear war.
