U.S. Bellicose Forces' War Moves under Fire
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)
Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- The U.S. bellicose forces recently deployed overseas-based F-16s, F-15s and F/A-18s in U.S. air-force bases in south Korea. Coinciding with this movement, a nuclear-powered submarine of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces entered the Pusan Port of south Korea, and it is bustling around in surrounding waters for the DPRK-targeted operation exercises.
Such moves are a part of the U.S. conservative hardliners' invariable hostile policy towards the DPRK and a reckless criminal act of chilling the denuclearization process in the Korean Peninsula and driving the situation into the brink of war, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a signed commentary.
The commentary goes on:
We cannot but take a serious view of the fact that the U.S. bellicose forces are intensifying anti-DPRK nuclear war moves after introducing the nuclear-powered submarine with high performance, in particular.
The above-said deployment and frenzied nuclear war exercises by the U.S. are evidently an open challenge to the DPRK, its dialogue partner.
This is contrary to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the September 19 joint statement. Such reckless moves cannot be construed otherwise than a sinister scheme to obstruct and frustrate the progress of the six-party talks.
The acute political and military situation around the Korean Peninsula convinces the DPRK that there is no other option but to increase the military capabilities for self-defence in every way under the uplifted banner of Songun politics in order to reliably defend the sovereignty and security of the country.
