All Koreans Called upon to Come out in Reunification Movement
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)
Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- All Koreans in the north and the south and overseas are turning out in the reunification movement as one with the will to achieve the independent reunification of the country, rebuffing outside forces. Rodong Sinmun today says this in a signed article.
The Koreans' movement for national reunification is a nationwide patriotic movement gaining in scope and strength thanks to their ardent patriotism, the article notes, and goes on:
They are now fully displaying patriotism with the will to settle the reunification issue by their concerted efforts with the Korean nation as a driving force for the reunification movement.
Their reunification movement is a sacred one to rejoin the severed blood ties of the nation and achieve national unity.
In south Korea the people's sovereignty and dignity are being violated by outside forces. This is an unbearable shame for the homogeneous Korean nation.
A dynamic struggle for national reconciliation and unity is now going on wherever Koreans live.
The cause of achieving the great unity of the Korean nation has entered a higher stage of development under the banner of "By our nation itself." All the fellow countrymen are pooling their will and efforts on the common front for achieving independent reunification holding aloft the banner of the June 15 joint declaration.
The reunification movement of the Koreans is a patriotic movement conducive to peace.
The Koreans are a peace-loving nation who loves and desires peace more than anyone else. It is, therefore, a very vital issue related to the reunification of the country and the destiny of the nation to defend peace on the Korean Peninsula. The defence of peace guarantees the destiny of the nation, the reunification of the country and national prosperity.
The reality goes to clearly prove that both independent reunification and peace are achievable only when all the fellow countrymen pool their efforts and struggle in the idea of "By our nation itself" from a patriotic stand and viewpoint.
