Anti-DPRK "Human Rights Resolution" under Fire
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)
Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry gave the following answer to a question put by KCNA Thursday as regards the adoption of the anti-DPRK "Human Rights Resolution" at the 3rd Committee of the 62nd UN General Assembly:
A "resolution" slandering the DPRK over the "human rights situation" was adopted at the meeting of the 3rd Committee of the 62nd UN General Assembly on Nov. 20.
As it happened last year, the "resolution" cooked up through the collusion of Japan and the EU is a document to serve the purpose of false propaganda as it was based on sheer lies and fabrications.
The "resolution" which is nothing but the falsification of hard facts and profound confusion of right and wrong was prompted by sheer repugnancy towards Korean-style socialism centred on the popular masses. It, therefore, has nothing to do with the defence of human rights and would only stoke confrontation and distrust.
The results of the voting showed that many countries said no to the "resolution" and this testifies to the fact that the political purpose of the "resolution" is regarded as a problem from an objective point of view.
It is the worst human rights abuse in the present times to occupy other country by force of arms and turn it into a sea of blood. The worst human rights abuser is the country that ignited such a war and the countries that supported it.
These countries are crowded with tens of thousands of wanderers, beggars and prisoners and plagued with all sorts of crimes and human rights abuses such as extreme racial discrimination, murder and rape.
It is the most shameless hypocrisy in the modern times for such countries to dare talk about "human rights performance" in the DPRK.
The DPRK categorically dismisses the above-said "resolution" produced by hypocrites and strongly denounces the sinister political aim sought by it.
