Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il together with President of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly Kim Yong Nam and Premier of the DPRK Cabinet Kim Yong Il Sunday sent a message of greetings to President of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress Wu Bangguo and Premier of the State Council Wen Jiabao on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
The message says:
We send warm congratulations and greetings to you and, through you, to the Communist Party of China, the Chinese government and the Chinese people in the name of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government and the Korean people on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
For the past 58 years since the foundation of the PRC the Chinese people have built the socialist state on the vast Chinese land, overcoming manifold trials.
Today the Chinese people have achieved great successes in the work to build the harmonious socialist society based on the scientific view on development and achieve the reunification of the whole country under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with Hu Jintao as its General Secretary.
The Korean people are rejoiced over this and wholeheartedly hope the Chinese people would significantly greet the 17th congress of the party and achieve bigger successes in building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
It is the consistent stand of our party and government to steadily boost the traditional DPRK-China friendship.
Availing ourselves of this opportunity, we would like to express the belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger thanks to the common efforts and wish the People's Republic of China prosperity and your people happiness.
