ROK Ministry of Unification
Internal Affairs
- Liu Xiaoming, Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK inspected Najin port and Chongjin Metal Corporation Company from September 15 to 16.
- The Central Broadcasting Station reported on September 17 that North Korea is promoting construction of stock farm with modern facility in Kanggye City .
- Members of Youth Shock Brigade are promoting construction of Paektu Youth Power Station No. 1 and began constructing No.2.
Inter-Korean Affairs
- Chosun Sinbo covered on September 15 and 17 Okryukwan Restaurant and Monument to Three Charters of National Reunification consecutively.
Foreign Affairs
- Myanmar delegation led by Vice-minister of Foreign Affairs visited North Korea and met with Kim Yong-nam, President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and Paek Eui Chun, Minister of Foreign Affairs to conclude an Agreement on Diplomatic Cooperation.
- North Korea agreed to have diplomatic relations with United Arab Emirates .
- On the occasion of the 5 th anniversary of the Japan-North Korea Pyongyang Declaration, North Korea maintained that the Declaration is being invalidated as Japan does not make efforts to liquidate the past.
- The delegation of North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by the Vice-minister visited China from September 18.
- In an interview with Korean Central News Agency on September 18, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly denied the suspicion regarding nuclear cooperation between North Korea and Syria .
