Homage Paid to President Kim Il Sung

   Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Senior party and state officials, chairman of a friendly party, Cabinet members, deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly in Pyongyang and leading officials of party and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace Sunday to pay homage to President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 59th birthday of the DPRK.
    Placed before the statue of the President was a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the WPK Central Military Commission, the DPRK National Defence Commission, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet.
    Written on the ribbon of the floral basket were letters reading "The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung is immortal."
    The participants paid high tribute to the statue.
    They made a bow in humble reverence to the President who built the socialist state centering around the popular masses and demonstrated its dignity and might to the world.
    Anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, servicepersons, officials of organs of different levels and people from all walks of life also visited the memorial palace on the same day.
    Visitors to the memorial palace today included the diplomatic corps and the military attaches' corps here, the congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan celebrating the 59th founding anniversary of the DPRK, a delegation of the China Association for International Friendly Contact, a Qatar delegation of Al-Jazeera Satellite Television and overseas compatriots and foreign guests.
