Kim Jong Il Gives On-the-Spot Guidance to Ranam Coal Mining Machine Complex

   Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave on-the-spot guidance to the Ranam Coal Mining Machine Complex.
    He first looked round the monument to the on-the-spot guidance of President Kim Il Sung and the room devoted to its history.
    Looking back with deep emotion on the history of the development of the complex, he said it has turned into the nation's reliable large machine producer under the wise leadership of the President and his care.
    He learned about the production at the complex, making the rounds of the machine assembling shop and other places of the complex.
    He highly appreciated the successes made by the officials, workers and technicians of the complex, expressing great satisfaction over the fact that they have successfully settled difficult technological problems by themselves and satisfactorily ensured the production of major custom-built equipment by strengthening creative cooperation and waging a widespread mass technical innovation movement.
    Noting that the complex is now capable of manufacturing machine products requiring high technology by firmly consolidating the material and technological foundation of the complex, he praised the enterprising work style and fighting spirit of the officials, workers and technicians of the complex making a steady advance.
    The heroic working class is the fighters who carry out any difficult task in good time in a do-or-die spirit with the faith that when the Party is determined to do anything, they unconditionally carry it out, he said, adding that the Korean revolution is making a steady advance along the road of big leap forward as it has such huge contingent of the working class.
    He set forth tasks before the complex, noting that the complex has a very important duty and role to perform.
    He was accompanied by Hong Sok Hyong, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, and Pak Nam Gi, department director of the WPK Central Committee.
