Rodong Sinmun Calls for Bringing Earlier Korea's Reunification

   Pyongyang, August 5 (KCNA) -- The three principles of national reunification, the ten-point programme for the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo clearly indicate the way of the Korean nation for independent reunification. The three principles constitute the three charters for national reunification as they systematized and dealt with the fundamental principles and ways of national reunification in an integral way on the basis of the great Juche idea and the precious experience gained by President Kim Il Sung in the course of the struggle for national reunification, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a signed article.
    The three charters for national reunification are consistent with the spirit of national independence the core of which is the sovereignty and dignity of the nation and embody the noble patriotic spirit to achieve the reunification of the country in a peaceful way through national reconciliation and unity, the article notes, and goes on:
    The three principles of national reunification which the north and the south affirmed and solemnly declared at home and abroad in the July 4 joint statement indicate the fundamental stand and ways to be maintained by the Korean nation in the settlement of the reunification question. The ten-point programme for the great unity of the whole nation which expounds the aim of great national unity and its ideological foundation and the principles and ways of unity help further increase the driving force for national reunification and immensely enhance its role. The proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo gives a clear exposition of the full appearance of a reunified state and the ways for its materialization.
    The proposals for national reunification put forward by the President have powerfully encouraged all the fellow countrymen to the nationwide struggle for independent reunification and glorified annals of the reunification movement with victory of pro-reunification patriotic forces.
    His line and policies for national reunification are the most precious legacies left by him for the Korean nation and they serve as a reliable boon for the accomplishment of the cause of independent reunification.
    The line and policies clearly indicate the way of achieving the reunification and prosperity of the country and realizing national sovereignty and unity by the concerted efforts of the Korean nation and greatly encourage the fellow countrymen to the struggle to implement the June 15 joint declaration.
