Rodong Sinmun Brands U.S. as Nuclear Criminal

Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- The United States is the very one which gave rise to the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula by pursuing a policy of turning south Korea into a nuclear base and maneuvering for a nuclear war against the DPRK, states a Rodong Sinmun analyst Wednesday.
Noting that the U.S. is distorting truth and misleading world opinion, raising terrific outcries over someone's "nuclear issue" and "nuclear threat" while shelving its own nuclear crimes, the analyst says:
This is a shameless and gangster-like act reminding us of a guilty party filing the suit first.
The U.S. officially declared "the start of the nuclearization" of the U.S. forces in south Korea in 1957 and has since pushed it forward. Even now it is giving added spurs to the development of nukes while ceaselessly introducing nuclear war tools of the latest type, behind the curtain of its idle chatter about the settlement of the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula. And it continues presenting nuclear threats to the DPRK, shipping into south Korea ultra-modern nuclear war tools and staging massive war exercises.
All the historical facts clearly show that a solution to the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula entirely depends on the switchover of the U.S. policy towards the DPRK. In other words, the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula will be totally settled only when the U.S. gives up its hostile policy towards the DPRK and pulls all its nuclear war tools out of south Korea.
In the September 19 joint statement of the six-party talks the U.S. gave assurances that it had no nuclear weapons in south Korea and had no intention to attack or invade the DPRK with nukes or conventional weapons. So it should fully convince others by a verifiable method. Without this, it is shameless and ridiculous of it to spin out trash about someone's "threat" and mumble about the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
