U.S. Chiefly to Blame for Danger of New Cold War and Nuclear War

Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- The U.S. can never conceal its true colors as a chief criminal keen to spark off a new Cold War and a nuclear war, says Rodong Sinmun in a signed commentary Tuesday.
Recently the U.S. has become all the more frantic in its moves to mass-produce new type nuclear weapons while pushing forward the establishment of the Missile Defense System (MD) in the Korean Peninsula and the Pacific region under the pretext of "threat" from someone, the commentary notes, and goes on:
The U.S. stepped-up moves to establish the MD and modernize military hardware including nuclear weapons only compel other countries to take corresponding steps. This will naturally result in escalating the arms race and increasing the danger of a nuclear war.
The Korean Peninsula is fraught with the greatest danger of a nuclear war in the world today. It is the strategic design of the U.S. bellicose forces to realize their ambition for world supremacy by igniting a nuclear war against the DPRK and escalating it into other countries. The situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula at present due to the U.S. is so tense that a nuclear war may break out any moment.
There exists on the earth only the threat of the U.S. military aggression, not "threat" from someone else.
The U.S. would be well advised to think over that it will have to pay a dear price for its reckless moves.
