Rodong Sinmun Slams U.S. Arms Build-up behind Scene of Dialogue

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- Recently the U.S. was reported to have introduced F-16s and hundreds of air force personnel into south Korea from its airbase in Aviano, Italy under the pretext of "contributing to the stability in the Asia-Pacific."
Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary observes that the above-mentioned military moves are a clear indication of the U.S. sinister intention to further step up its preparations for a new war behind the scene of dialogue.
The U.S. reckless military actions make the DPRK skeptical about whether the U.S. is truly willing to seek a negotiated settlement of the nuclear issue and improve the DPRK-U.S. relations.
The U.S. administration clarified more than once that it would not invade the DPRK by force of arms, while talking about the resumption of the six-way talks.
If this is true, the U.S. should stop the military actions threatening the DPRK.
What the U.S. is now going, however, suggests that it is persistently pursuing an aim to bring down the DPRK by force of arms.
The above-said U.S. moves go to prove that it is not standing for dialogue but for war and its call for dialogue is not to seek any solution but just to gain time to round up the war preparations.
