WPK Praised as Mother Party

   Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea has always served the masses of people and its cause is invincible as it has won one victory after another by forming a harmonious whole with the people, Rodong Sinmun today says in a signed article.
    To serve the people is an intrinsic nature of a revolutionary party leading the cause of socialism, the article notes, and goes on:
    The WPK has not forgotten its responsibility for the people's destiny even a moment nor lost popularity while leading the revolution for several decades. It has set an example of the times by showing in practice how a party should lead the people with responsibility for their destiny despite manifold stern trials. Herein lies the greatness of the WPK's history.
    The WPK is a true popular party as it places the interests of the people above anything else and a great mother party as it takes care of the destiny and future of the people in a responsible manner to the last.
    It is the guide that has provided sure political, military and economic guarantees for the Korean nation to enjoy eternal prosperity in this land. It is also like a mother as it gives noble political integrity to all Korean people and leads them along the road of a worthwhile life and struggle.
    The WPK is a great party as it has recorded an epic on the service to the people holding in high esteem the peerless great men endowed with warm love and trust in the people, the article notes, and goes on:
    President Kim Il Sung was the benevolent father who devoted all his life to the people with the most ardent love for them and a peerless statesman who gave a new origin to the construction of the mother party.
    The revolutionary history of Kim Il Sung in which he dedicated himself to the eternal happiness and prosperity of the people has been successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Il.
