Korean People Enjoy Benefits from Government

   Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- It is the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and DPRK government to constantly promote the well-being of the people.
    The Korean people are leading an independent and creative life, enjoying public benefits thanks to the policies of the Party and government.
    All the policies are based on the principle of conducting all the activities with the popular masses as the centre.
    The word "people" is included in names of the country, power body and monumental edifices including the Grand People's Study House and People's Palace of Culture.
    Conspicuous are cultural and welfare facilities for the people everywhere in the country. Sanatoriums, recuperation homes and rest centres for the working people and camps for schoolchildren are seen in spa and scenic places.
    The Korean people enjoy the benefits of free medical care and free education. The tax system has long been abolished completely in the country.
    The Party and government take warm care of the life of the aged and children who have no one to depend on and direct preferentiality to the disabled soldiers and persons of merits in the society.
    Enormous are the social benefits including the maternity leave and recuperation and rest system for working people.
    Nevertheless, the imperialists are spreading illusion about capitalism, loudly talking about "welfare policy" and "welfare society" in an attempt to collapse the Korean-style socialist system.
    The Korean people, who are taking their socialism as life-line, are striving to glorify their country as one of the people, decisively frustrating the moves of the imperialists with its superiority.
