Internal Affairs

• Pyongyang Broadcasting Services reported on May 8 that the closing ceremony of the 22 nd Central Science and Technology Festival was held on May 7.

• The Central Broadcasting Station reported on May 10 that the ceremony for the completion of the Samsu Power Station was held on May 9.

• The Central Broadcasting Station reported on May 10 that the commemorative reporting session for the 60 th anniversary of the founding of Pyongyang Embroidery Institute was held on May 9.

• The 5 th Inter-Korean General-level Military Talks was completed on May 11 and joint press statement was adopted and announced, reported the Central Broadcasting Station and Pyongyang Broadcasting Services on May 11.

Inter-Korean Affairs

• According to the report by the Central Broadcasting Station on May 10, the spokesperson of the KPA Navy Headquarters announced a statement to criticize that the South is raising tensions in five islands in the west sea by building up the military strength in the area.

Foreign Affairs

• In an interview with Yonhap news agency on May 7, Kim Myong-gil, deputy head of the North Korean delegation to the United Nations said North Korea would implement the initial step of the February 13 Agreement when the BDA issue is solved.
