Kim Jong Il Enjoys Performance of KPA State Merited Chorus

Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il, together with servicepersons appreciated a performance given by the KPA State Merited Chorus on Wednesday to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the heroic KPA.
Put on the stage were "Song of General Kim Jong Il", "Always Looking Up to the Leader," "The Korean People's Army, the Army of Mt. Paektu", "The Forest Sways", "Song of Comradeship", "We Will Defend the Headquarters of Revolution with Our Lives" and other choruses.
The performers highly sang of the proud 75-year long history of the heroic KPA which has advanced along the road of victory and glory under the uplifted red flag of revolution. And they strikingly demonstrated the iron faith and indomitable will of the Korean army and people to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche started in the forests of Mt. Paektu.
At the end of the performance, Kim Jong Il waved back to the enthusiastically cheering performers and audience and congratulated the performers on their successful performance.
Greatly satisfied to enjoy the admirable performance replete with the spirit of the Songun era, the revolutionary solider spirit, he expressed the expectation and conviction that all the artistes of the chorus would more inspiringly encourage the army and the people of the DPRK to the general advance of the Songun revolution through their vigorous revolutionary artistic activities.
Among the audience were KPA General Kim Kyok Sik, chief of the KPA General Staff, KPA Vice Marshal Kim Il Chol, member of the DPRK NDC and minister of the People's Armed Forces, staff members of the KPA Supreme Command, commanders of the KPA services and arms, and Kim Yong Il, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, and secretaries Choe Thae Bok, Kim Kuk Thae, Kim Jung Rin and Kim Ki Nam and other leading officials of the WPK Central Committee.
