Juche Idea, Almighty Precious Sword for Socialist Cause

   Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Twenty-five years have passed since Kim Jong Il made public his work "On the Juche Idea" on March 31, Juche 71 (1982).
    The work is a library and an encyclopedia on the Juche idea which comprehends and systematizes the Juche idea in a comprehensive way and develops it in depth as a new ideological and theoretical wealth.
    He, in the work, expounds the principles and contents of the Juche idea and glaringly proves that it is the great guiding idea indicating the way for accomplishing the human cause of independence.
    Over the last years, the validity, truth and vitality of the Juche idea have been confirmed as the almighty precious sword to carry the socialist cause.
    Many changes took place in the world political composition and socio- class structure in the last ten years of the 20th century and the Korean revolution had to go through the most arduous trial.
    At that time, Kim Jong Il took the Songun idea based on the Juche idea as the invariable guideline of the Korean revolution and applied it in all the fields of the revolution and construction to the letter.
    He laid down the Songun revolutionary theories such as the principle of putting the army ahead of the working class and the idea on the motive force in the revolution and thus gave most perfect answers to the theoretical and practical questions raised in the accomplishment of the socialist cause at present.
    In particular, he has directed primary attention to training the army and people of Korea as those strong in ideology and faith under the banner of the Juche idea.
    He has made a long Songun journey without interruption to bring up the whole army as a rank of pure ideology and vanguard in defending the leader with its lives and conducted energetic activities for making the whole society replete with the revolutionary soldier spirit.
    In this course, the ideological and moral qualities of the army and people of Korea have reached a new higher stage.
    By dint of the ideological and moral power of the army and people who firmly believe only in Kim Jong Il and hold aloft his ideas and leadership with the will to share the fate with him, Korea could victoriously carry out the "Arduous March" and the forced march and usher in the dawn of the great, prosperous and powerful socialist nation.
    The Korean people will, in the future, too, achieve only victory in the revolution and construction under the uplifted banner of the Juche idea, almighty precious sword for the accomplishment of the socialist cause.
