Internal Affairs
- The Central Broadcasting Station reported on April 3 that grand mass gymnastic display and Arirang performance are planned to be presented, greeting the 95 th birthday anniversary of Kim Il Sung on April 15.
- Pyongyang Broadcasting Services reported on April 6 that a “heaven day ceremony” commemorating the 147 th foundation anniversary of Chondoism was held in Pyongyang on April 5.
- North Korean taekwondo has been mainly promoted in school, institution, and enterprise as a means to build up ‘national defense sports’ since 1972.
- The Central Broadcasting Station reported on April 4 that North Korea has focused on devising measures to secure water supply for farming at the irrigation control office in Seohung of Hwanghae-bukdo.
- The Central Broadcasting Station reported on April 4 that North Korea is concentrating on dibbling potatoes at cooperative farms in Hwanghae-bukdo.
Inter-Korean Affairs
- Under the headline “The Reactivated Inter-Korean Relations since the Ministerial Level Talks,” Chosun Sinbo reported the recent trend of the inter-Korean relations on April 6.
Foreign Affairs
- Invited by the North Korean government, the U.S. suprapartisan delegation including Democrats and Republicans visited North Korea from April 8 to April 11.
- The sixth round of the six party talks (March 19 ~24, Beijing ) ended without substantial results owing to BDA issue.
- After the conclusion of KORUS FTA on April 2, North Korea did not make any comment but reported the petition letter by the South Korean Democratic Labor Party and disobedience campaign.
