Need to Foil Imperialists' Campaign for Ideological and Cultural Poisoning Underscored

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- A revolutionary ideological offensive is very important for frustrating the evermore undisguised psychological warfare and campaign for ideological and cultural poisoning being escalated by the U.S. imperialists and class enemies, consolidating the unity of the revolutionary ranks in thinking and purpose in every way and giving full play to the dynamism of the political and ideological power.
Rodong Sinmun Sunday observes this in a signed article.
It goes on: The socialist construction is now under way in the DPRK amidst a fierce struggle against the U.S. imperialists and class enemies.
The U.S. imperialists are desperate in their psychological warfare and campaign for ideological and cultural poisoning aimed at destabilizing Korean-style socialism. It is the black-hearted intention of the U.S. imperialists to achieve by dint of "flexible strategy" of ideological and cultural poisoning the sinister aim they failed to do through their political and military pressure and the force of arms.
It is the avowed principled stand of the Workers' Party of Korea to foil the enemies' psychological warfare and campaign for ideological and cultural poisoning through a revolutionary ideological offensive.
The U.S. imperialists are now clinging to such a foolish method, aware that they can hardly bring down Korean-style socialism as long as all the servicepersons and people remain single-mindedly united around the headquarters of the revolution.
The U.S. imperialists knocked into shape a lot of organizations for psychological warfare with all sorts of good-for-nothings such as reactionary professors and writers who are skillful in hatching all sorts of plots and employing gimmicks and depraved and corrupt artistes, psychologists and historians. They spend hundreds of millions of dollars for this warfare and conduct smear campaigns against the DPRK in a sinister and foolish bid to sever the blood ties among the WPK, the leader and the army and the people.
Only when every psychological warfare and campaign for ideological and cultural poisoning launched by them are frustrated, is it possible to prevent any unsound ideological factor from finding its way to society, augment the might of the single-minded unity and emerge victorious in the confrontation with enemies, the article concludes.
