Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- An increasing number of people are visiting the Secret Camp on Mt. Paektu with the approach of the February holiday (the birthday of Kim Jong Il) in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Seen among them are servicepersons who are safeguarding the country like an impregnable fortress, Party members and working people who are making a new leap forward in various sectors for the building of a rich and powerful nation and school children and youth.
The Secret Camp on Mt. Paektu which was built by President Kim Il Sung as a center for leading the Korean revolution in the latter half of the 1930s is a secret base used by the main unit of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army. It is also a revolutionary sacred place where Kim Jong Il was born.
Since it was restored to the original state and opened to the public on February 11, Juche 76 (1987), millions of Korean people at home and abroad and foreigners have visited there.
There are a log cabin for the headquarters where the President worked, a log cabin where Kim Jong Il was born and spent his childhood and others in the camp.
The visitors to the native home in the camp are making their mind to remain faithful to the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il, son of the guerrillas, looking back on his undying exploits performed for the nation, revolution, times and history.
Seeing the monument on which the "Poem in Praise of the Bright Star" written by the President on the occasion of the 50th birthday of leader Kim Jong Il is engraved and the highly rising Jong Il Peak, they are convinced that as it is led by the peerlessly great man, the country will continue to thrive as a paradise of the people.
Overseas Koreans and foreigners, making round of trees bearing slogans written by anti-Japanese guerrillas, sites of tents and campfire and many other revolutionary relics, say in unison that the Secret Camp on Mt. Paektu associated with revolutionary activities of the three generals of Mt. Paektu will shine long as the sacred place of the Korean revolution.
