U.S. New Dangerous Military Moves under Fire

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- The U.S. recently deployed a wing of F-117 Stealth fighter bombers and support personnel in south Korea. It is a disturbing military move that the U.S. transferred formations of F-117 Stealth fighter bombers to the Korean Peninsula from its mainland and decided to deploy them in south Korea on a long-term basis at a time when a series of talks for the settlement of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula are high on the agenda.
The U.S. introduced the above-said type fighter bombers into south Korea in 1993, 1996, 2003 and so on when it sparked off crisis on the peninsula.
F-117s were reported to have been deployed in south Korea in accordance with the U.S. air force's rotating deployment plan as they are capable of intruding deep into the air above their targets, untracked by the "enemy radar network" and striking its key facilities.
It is beyond doubt that the deployment of the above-said fighter bombers is not a simple military exercise but part of the moves to carry out the long-term strategy of the U.S. armed forces given the fact that their wing is expected to take part in RSOI slated to be held by the U.S. forces and the south Korean army in March.
The U.S. is contemplating deploying F-22A Raptor Stealth fighter, a prototype fighter in the 21st century, in the U.S. air base in Kadena, Japan, at the beginning of February in the wake of having brought the wing of F-117 Stealth fighter bombers into south Korea to be ready for an actual battle.
The commander of the U.S. air force in the Pacific said that such type fighters would provide the U.S. forces in the Pacific with greater options.
The U.S. recent introduction into south Korea of its war hardware that earned an ill fame in wars of aggression including the Gulfs War is a grave military action running counter to the efforts to seek a peaceful settlement of the nuclear issue and bring peace to the Korean Peninsula.
The U.S. behavior threatening its dialogue partner with its ultra modern war means, while asserting it attaches importance to the talks, is nothing but brazen-faced double-dealing tactics. Dialogue and military actions can never go together.
The U.S. talks a lot about "dialogue" and "negotiations" at the negotiating table but, in actuality, persists in their moves to strangle the DPRK by force of arms. This is a blatant challenge to the process to have genuine dialogue and peace.
It is a strategic aim of the U.S. to test the combat capacity of Stealth fighter bombers on the Korean Peninsula in a bid to make the appearance of the U.S. air force in East Asia an established fact and contain big powers in the region.
The U.S. should stop its military actions to disturb the peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and other parts of the world and immediately withdraw the Stealth fighter bombers from south Korea.
