Kim Jong Il Inspects KPA Women's Company

Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspected a Three-Revolution Red Flag women's company of KPA Unit 1174 honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led 7th regiment. He watched soldiers' training after acquainting himself with the company's performance of duty.
He set forth tasks to be fulfilled by the company to boost its combat capability, satisfied to learn that the women soldiers are preparing themselves to be a-match-for-a hundred fighters with the pride of holding arms in the era of Songun.
Learning about how the company is fulfilling its training program, he underscored the need to conduct effective training to suit its specific conditions to let all the soldiers get well versed in combat and technical equipment and acquire high combat capability.
Then he moved on to an education room, bedroom, mess hall, wash-cum-bath house, non-staple food store, outdoor rest place, barn and other places before enjoying an optimistic art performance given by women soldiers.
He met Jon Ok Gyong, company political instructor, whom he got acquainted with a few years ago on his way of field inspection. He learned about what she has done since then and highly praised her for successfully performing her duty as a competent political cadre.
He highly estimated the achievements made by the company in the past, noting that it is a model in all aspects such as efforts to boost the combat capacity, unit management and mass cultural and art activities.
He gave servicepersons of the company a pair of binoculars and an automatic rifle as gifts and had a photo session with them.
He was accompanied by KPA Generals Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong.
