Iranian President Supports DPRK's Efforts for Denuclearization

   Tehran, November 19 (KCNA) -- The Iranian government and people have positively supported the Korean people in their efforts to achieve the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, when meeting a delegation of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly headed by its Chairman Choe Thae Bok on Nov. 18. Noting that all the progressive countries in the world should resolutely stand as a united force against the imperialists' moves for split and alienation, the Iranian president went on:
    The Pyongyang visit paid by Seyed Ali Khamenei and his meeting with President Kim Il Sung marked a historic occasion in the development of the relations between the two countries.
    The Iranian president underscored the need to boost the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries in economic and other fields in order to match a high level of the political relations between Iran and the DPRK.
    Present there were members of the delegation and the DPRK ambassador to Iran.
