Floral Baskets Laid before Statues of Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung in various parts of the country on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU). People from all walks of life and school youth and children in Pyongyang visited the statue of the President on Mansu Hill.
Seen before the statue was a floral basket sent by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
Laid before the statue amid the playing of floral basket-laying music were floral baskets in the name of the Party, armed forces and power organs, public organizations, ministries, national institutions, KPA units and scientific, educational, cultural, art, public health and media institutions, factories, enterprises, farms and schools, bouquets and flowers.
Written on the ribbons of the floral baskets were letters "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung Is Immortal", "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung Will Always Be with Us", "The Great Revolutionary Exploits of the Respected Leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung Will Be Immortal!" and others.
Floral baskets were also laid before the statues of the President at Kim Il Sung University, Kim Il Sung Military University, the Ministry of People's Security, the Korean Film Studio, the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace and other places in Pyongyang.
Servicepersons of the KPA, working people and school youth and children also visited the statues of the President in their residential quarters to lay floral baskets, bouquets and flowers.
